Gábor Bolonyai is an Associate Professor and Head of the Greek Department at Eötvös Loránd University. His research focuses on the reception of Greek literature in the Renaissance, including the Corvina Library and history of Greek-Latin dictionaries. He specializes in Greek tragedies, Attic orators and law, and Aristophanes' translations by János Arany.
Key grants and projects led include Corvina Graeca (OTKA 2009–2012), Greek Culture in Italy and Hungary (OTKA-NKFP 2015–2019), and contributions to critical editions of János Arany's works (OTKA 2010–2013).
