Gábor Kendeffy serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Humanities, Károli Gáspár Reformed University (KRE), specializing in ancient philosophical traditions and their theological intersections.

Research Focus: Dr. Kendeffy's work centers on late antique philosophical systems, examining skepticism in Augustine, Hellenistic thought, and patristic theology. His scholarship bridges historical analysis with ethical frameworks, particularly in early Christian intellectual development and the interpretation of classical texts within religious contexts. He investigates conceptual continuity between ancient philosophy and medieval theological traditions through rigorous philological and historical methods.

- Révay Award from the Hungarian Society of Antiquities (1993)
Academic Leadership: As supervisor for 10+ research projects including OTKA-funded initiatives on late antique philosophy and European mysticism, he has directed major studies on patristic anthropology and Hellenistic religious history. His doctoral supervision includes four completed theses on Origen, Irenaeus, and Nag Hammadi texts. He has served as department head for KRE's Religious Studies programs since 2005 and participated in Soros Foundation collaborative projects across Hungarian universities.
