Mónika Imregh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ancient History and Auxiliary Historical Sciences at the Faculty of Humanities, Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. She holds a PhD in Philology and Classical Studies from ELTE University Budapest (2006), with a thesis on Plotinus’s influence on Renaissance philosophers Marsilio Ficino and Giovanni Pico della Mirandola. Her academic career is deeply rooted in classical and Renaissance intellectual history, with a strong emphasis on Neoplatonism and its transmission into early modern thought.
Her educational background includes two MA degrees from ELTE University Budapest in Philology, Classical Studies (Latin and Ancient Greek), and Italian Language and Culture (1992, 2000). She has also taught at Xántus János Bilingual Tourism Secondary School and Kathedra Language School as an Italian and Latin teacher.
