Gwyneth Edwards is an Associate Professor of Strategic Management at HEC Montréal, affiliated with the Department of International Business. She holds a PhD in Strategic Management from Concordia University, an MBA from Concordia, and a B.Eng. from McGill University. She is a member of three research groups: Groupe de recherche en affaires internationales (GRAI), Strategy as Practice Study Group (GéPS), and Montreal Local Global Research Group (MLGRG). Her research focuses on strategic management in global contexts, organizational practices, and knowledge transfer in multinational firms.
Recent scholarly contributions include work on SME internationalization strategies and job satisfaction in global MNEs. She actively supervises graduate students in international business and strategic management, with over 30 projects and theses directed since 2019. Edwards has received teaching excellence awards from HEC Montréal and case-writing accolades from the John Molson School of Business.
Teaching responsibilities include courses such as International Business and International Firms, Cultures and Human Resources. Her research and case studies emphasize global strategic challenges, institutional dynamics, and ethical leadership.
