Professor Guy Ziv is a faculty member at the School of Geography, University of Leeds, specializing in Socio-Environmental Systems. His research integrates ecosystem modeling and social sciences to address policy impacts on water-food-energy systems and climate change.
- Coordinates Horizon 2020 BESTMAP project across EU and Serbia
- Leads WP6 Ecosystem Modelling in ECOPOTENTIAL (15m EUR)
- Co-PI of ADVENT and Co-I of ADVANCES projects on low-carbon energy
- Leeds PI for Global Food Security Project (Resilient Dairy Landscapes with Nestlé)
- Previously led Nexus-Brexit and Techno-Ecological Synergy projects
He served as a Lead Scientist at Stanford's Natural Capital Project, contributed to InVEST GIS toolbox development, and worked on U.S. EPA/DOD projects. Current roles include Pro Dean International for the Faculty of Environment.
