Guy Livingston serves as Skills Supervisor (Sound/Audio) at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague. He is concurrently pursuing a PhD on 'Musical and architectural markers for silence' at Leiden University's Amsterdam Center for Heritage, Memory and Archive (ACPA). His work spans interdisciplinary art, sound design, and sculpture, with international performances from Tbilisi to Lincoln Center. Notably, his sculpture 'Quiet Spheres' orbits Earth aboard the International Space Station.
Education includes degrees from Yale University, New England Conservatory of Music, and the Royal Conservatory of the Netherlands. He has lectured at Princeton University, Harvard University, and the European Space Agency. Livingston hosts the podcast 'The Bug,' broadcast from a former embassy in The Hague.
Research interests include the intersection of sound, silence, architecture, and space. His projects bridge artistic innovation with scientific collaboration, exemplified by his space-based sculpture and sound-based installations.
