Cynthia Hathaway is a Design tutor at the Industrial Design department of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), where she has been teaching since at least 2015. She runs Hathaway Designs, a studio focused on inclusive space making, activism, and collaborative practices.

- Key projects: Tracing wool waste streams, founding the Wool Alliance for Social Agency (WASA)
Her work bridges grassroots knowledge systems with contemporary design methodologies, particularly in textile sustainability and social agency.
She is actively involved in the KABK research ecosystem, including participation in the 2021 Research Group, and collaborates with Leiden University through the ACPA platform.
