Els Kuijpers is a theory tutor at the Bachelor Graphic Design program of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK). She is also a design critic, lecturer, and curator specializing in visual communication and cultural discourse. Currently pursuing her PhD at ACPA, University of Leiden, her research focuses on 'The politics of design: the liberating potential of communication design in post/modern times – Towards a method in communication design.'
