Dr. Guy Keulemans is an Enterprise Fellow and Research Fellow at the University of South Australia's UniSA Creative faculty, leading the Creative People, Products and Places Research Centre (CP3). His research focuses on transformative repair, sustainable design transitions, and critical frameworks for design and craft. He holds a PhD from UNSW Sydney and a Master's in Humanitarian Design from Design Academy Eindhoven.
His current work includes the ARC Linkage Project 'Designing for sustainability using a transformative repair model' (2020–2025), collaborating with Australian Design Centre and JamFactory. Key research themes include materials science, circular economy, and bioregional design. Notable exhibitions include the 'Transformative Repair x JamFactory' exhibition (2024) and 'Object Therapy' (2016–2019), which toured Australia.
Dr. Keulemans has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the 2024 DDCA Distinguished Innovation Award and the 2022 South Australian Museum's Waterhouse Prize. His work bridges art, design, and environmental science, emphasizing ethical material practices and community engagement. He supervises research degree students and teaches courses on sustainable design frameworks and practice-based research methods.
