Guy A. Boysen

Guy A. Boysen is an Associate Professor of Psychology at McKendree University. His teaching focuses on clinical and counseling psychology, as well as foundational courses like Introduction to Psychology and Research Methods. Professionally, he contributes to the Society for the Teaching of Psychology and serves as a consulting editor for journals such as Teaching of Psychology and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Psychology.

Research Interests

• Mental illness stigma, including dehumanization and stereotypes about schizophrenia
• Dissociative identity disorder, emphasizing diagnostic validity and social perceptions
• Scholarship of teaching and learning, particularly universal design for learning (UDL) and trigger warnings
