Dr. Gunes Dasli is a CARA Research Fellow at Loughborough University and a Post-Doc Research Fellow at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. She holds a PhD in Reconciliation Studies (Jena University, 2023) with a thesis on transitional justice and the Kurdish conflict, awarded summa cum laude. Her research focuses on post-conflict reconciliation, feminist moral philosophy, and gendered peacebuilding in the Middle East. She has consulted on Iraq's transitional processes and was part of Turkey’s Peace Process advisory team (2013-2015).

Research interests include transitional justice mechanisms, collective memory, and quantitative methods. Notable publications include analyses of Colombia’s peace process and LGBTI+/women’s coalition dynamics in Turkey. Awards include the highest honor for her doctoral research.
Her work bridges academic theory with grassroots activism, emphasizing marginalized voices in peace processes. Grants and consulting projects include evaluations of conflict resolution frameworks in Turkey and Iraq. Current focus includes maternal movements and necropolitical violence in Turkey’s Kurdish regions.
