Dr Jacob Eriksson is a Lecturer in Post-war Recovery Studies at the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of York. He specializes in Middle Eastern politics, conflict resolution, and post-war recovery, with a focus on small-state mediation and Iraq's post-ISIS recovery. His research explores governance, transitional justice, and reconciliation processes in conflict-affected regions. He holds a PhD from SOAS and has worked in academic skills development. Currently, he leads a project funded by the C and JB Morrell Trust examining post-ISIS Iraq.

Dr Eriksson is a Fellow at Lancaster University's SEPAD project and served on the European Association of Israel Studies' Executive Committee until 2019. His work frequently appears in journals like Middle East Policy and Global Affairs.
