Gunda Werner

Professor Gunda Werner is a distinguished theologian serving as Professor of Dogmatics and History of Dogma at the Faculty of Catholic Theology, Ruhr University Bochum since March 2022. She previously held professorial positions at Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz and Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. An accomplished scholar with expertise in gender studies, queer theology, and the intersection of contemporary philosophy with theological discourse, she actively contributes to academic discourse through numerous publications and leadership roles in theological associations.

Werner's research interests focus on the intersection of dogmatics, gender theory, and contemporary philosophical thought, particularly the works of Judith Butler.
