Guido Posern

Prof. Guido Posern directs the Institute for Physiological Chemistry at Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. His research examines:

• MRTF transcription factors as mechanotransduction signaling hubs
• Regulation of actin-dependent transcription
• Intrinsically disordered regions in cytoskeletal proteins

Key publications investigate competitive binding mechanisms between MRTF transcription factors and WH2 domain proteins. Current projects focus on actin binding dynamics in regulating transcription factor activation. Research employs biochemical, molecular, and cellular approaches to understand cytoskeletal control of gene expression.
