Guglielmo Guido Condorelli is a Full Professor at the Department of Chemical Sciences, University of Catania, with a career spanning over two decades. He is a member of the National Interuniversity Consortium for Materials Science and Technology (INSTM), chairs platform 4 (Nanotech: X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer) at the BRIT Center, and participates in the Scientific Council of the Master’s program in Power Electronics Devices and Technologies. Since 2013, he has been a member of the PhD faculty board in Materials Science and Nanotechnologies.

His research focuses on inorganic materials synthesis, including thin films via MOCVD and nanomaterials via wet routes, with applications in optoelectronics, gas monitoring, and bio/nanotechnologies. He has contributed to 334 scientific works (168 peer-reviewed journals, 15 book chapters, 1 Italian Patent) with an H-index of 37 and over 4000 citations.
Scientific awards include the 1992 Consorzio Catania Ricerche Graduation Award, 1993 Federchimica National Award, and 2017 FFABR research incentives. He has coordinated major projects like MIRACOLE (2024-2026) and MATt-onE (2020-2022), and participated in European initiatives such as MSCA-ITN-2016 ENHANCE and FLEUR.
