Dr. Guendalina Rossi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill. Her work focuses on polarized exocytosis and the regulation of cell surface trafficking, particularly the role of vesicle tethering factors and their interactions with Rab GTPases, SNARE proteins, and Rho/Cdc42 family GTPases.
Education and Training:
- PhD, Universita’ Statale di Milano
- Postdoctoral Research, Yale University
- Postdoctoral Research, Cornell University Medical College
Research interests emphasize understanding how vesicle docking and fusion are spatially regulated at the cell surface. Her studies employ both in vivo and in vitro approaches to dissect molecular mechanisms in cellular trafficking.
Awards and Honors:
- Leslie Warner Fellowship (1991-1992)
- Argull L. and Anna Hull Cancer Research Award (1992-1993)
- Donaghue Medical Research Foundation Fellowship (1993-1994)
No formal advising students or grants are listed in available information. Contact: 919-843-4995 | 4330 MBRB, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-7545.
