Guangwen Crystal Kong

Guangwen Crystal Kong is an Associate Professor at the Fox School of Business and Management, Temple University, specializing in the Department of Statistics, Operations, and Data Science. She holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the University of Southern California (2013). Her research focuses on sharing economies, service operations, behavioral operations, and data-driven decision-making in supply chains. She has published in top journals like Management Science and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management. Her work has earned numerous awards, including the MSOM Service Management SIG Best Award (2021) and POMS HOCM Best Paper Award (2021).

Dr. Kong teaches courses such as Operations Management (Undergraduate) and Fundamentals of Supply Chain Management (Graduate). She serves on the editorial review board of Production and Operations Management and has been an NSF panelist. Her honors include the M&SOM and Management Science Meritorious Service Awards (2018–2020).
