Gretchen Sileo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Temple University. She holds a PhD in Economics from Georgetown University, an MS in Applied Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and dual BS degrees in Mathematics and Psychology from the same institution.

Her research applies empirical industrial organization techniques to public institutions, focusing on infrastructure investment, telecommunications procurement, market power dynamics in cement, plasma industry competition, and emissions pricing. Key findings include evidence of underinvestment in drinking water systems, price regulation impacts in prison communications, and cost-reducing technological shifts in cement markets.
Teaching: She teaches ECON 3536: Economics of American Industry and ECON 3503: Introduction to Econometrics at Temple University.
