Gregory Waneless is a Professor at Queen's University's Dan School of Drama and Music, part of the Faculty of Arts and Science. He has been teaching since 1982 and has directed notable productions such as Blood Relations (2013), Midsummer Night’s Dream (2010), and Volpone (2004). His research interests include performing arts, theater interpretation, and music. He served as Artistic Director (1982–2012) and General Manager (1982–2010) of the Thousand Islands Playhouse, expanding its operations to seven productions annually in two theaters. Under his leadership, the Playhouse renovated the Gananoque Armouries into the Firehall Theatre. He also oversaw the 'Young Company' outreach program and hosted the Herman Voaden Playwriting Competition.
