Gregory R Dressler, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His laboratory focuses on the molecular genetics of embryonic development, particularly kidney development, and its implications in renal disease and epigenetic mechanisms.
- Research Interests: Embryonic patterning, differentiation, and cell lineage specification using the kidney as a model system; role of Pax2 and PTIP proteins in chromatin remodeling; interplay between BMP/TGF-beta signaling pathways in kidney injury and fibrosis; application of microarrays and embryonic stem cells to study gene regulation.
- Training Programs: Involved in mentoring through the PIBS Program and the Graduate Program in Molecular and Cellular Pathology.
