Gregory J. Wawro is a Professor of Political Science at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. He holds a Ph.D. from Cornell University (1997) and specializes in American Politics, Political Methodology, and legislative processes. His research focuses on Congress, elections, campaign finance, judicial politics, and political economy. Notable works include Filibuster: Obstruction and Lawmaking in the United States Senate (2013, co-authored with Eric Schickler) and Time Counts: Quantitative Analysis for Historical Social Science (2012, with Ira Katznelson). He has received several awards, including the Richard J. Fenno Prize and E.E. Schattschneider Award.
Wawro has taught courses like Political Science W3322: The American Congress and has been a visiting scholar at Harvard University's Center for Basic Research in the Social Sciences.
