Gregory Guerin

Gregory Guerin, MA, LPC-S, is an adjunct faculty member at Bossier Parish Community College and in the Counseling Psychology Program at the University of Louisiana at Shreveport. He transitioned from a decade-long career in Environmental Chemistry to private psychotherapy practice in 2011, integrating body-centered mindfulness and martial arts principles into his work.

• Alumni of Southwestern College (2002) and LSU-Shreveport (Chemistry undergraduate)
• Instructor at Lee’s White Leopard Kung Fu with a 5th-degree master certification

His research and practice focus on:

• Body-centered and mindfulness-based psychotherapy
• Jungian alchemical transformation in therapy
• Integration of Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan and Fu Style Ba Gua principles
• Art therapy as a creative engagement modality

He has presented on Mandala usage in transformation and martial arts-informed therapeutic balance. Gregory combines martial arts concepts like “zhang-ding” (central equilibrium) with therapeutic practices to facilitate client self-regulation.
