معرفی
Dr. Gregory Deierlein is the John A. Blume Professor in Stanford University's School of Engineering. His research advances performance-based earthquake engineering through computational methods for nonlinear structural analysis, fracture mechanics, and system reliability assessment.
Professor Deierlein develops frameworks for evaluating collapse safety of buildings under seismic loads, combining experimental testing with computational models of structural components and systems. Recent projects include ductile fracture simulation in steel structures, surrogate modeling for seismic response prediction, and community resilience assessment.
His research has influenced building codes internationally, particularly for steel and concrete structures. Current work emphasizes integrating machine learning with physics-based models for efficient performance evaluation of structures subjected to natural hazards.
