معرفی
Dr. Gregory Davis is a Lecturer in Science at Federation University, affiliated with the Institute of Innovation, Science and Sustainability (IISS). His research focuses on chromosome biology, DNA damage repair, and reproductive and developmental biology. He holds a PhD from Monash University (Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) and has postdoctoral experience in developmental biology at Monash University. His current projects investigate mechanisms maintaining chromosomal stability in germ cells, including small RNA pathways and DNA repair processes in Caenorhabditis elegans.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science, Monash University
- Master of Biomedical Science (prelim), Monash University
- Graduate Certificate of Science, Swinburne University of Technology
- Doctor of Philosophy, Monash University
Teaching areas include Principles of Biology, Biochemistry, Scientific Communication, and Biotechnology Lab Techniques. He leads projects in the Biological Sciences Research Group and collaborates with labs such as the Charchar Lab. His lab oversees students like Taylin Gourley (honours) and Joe Dawson (undergraduate).
Research highlights include studies on microRNA roles in neurodevelopment and the functional genomics of TRIM-NHL proteins. He emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches, combining molecular and computational methods to explore genetic stability and developmental pathways.
