Gregory Alico is an Adjunct Artist Affiliate in Music (Percussion) at Bucknell University, where he teaches percussion lessons. He holds a B.S. in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an M.M. in Percussion Performance from Baylor University.
Mr. Alico has studied with prominent percussionists, including past Percussive Arts Society (PAS) presidents Dr. Gary Olmstead and Dr. Larry Vanlandingham, as well as Bill Molenhof, Ed Soph, and Gordon Stout. His performance experience spans multiple symphony orchestras, including the Westmoreland, Waco, Johnstown, and Williamsport Symphony Orchestras, and he serves as principal timpanist for the Susquehanna Valley Chorale Orchestra.
He has recorded 12 compact discs with the Keystone Winds under Dr. Jack Stamp, contributed to the GIA series Teaching Music Through Performance in Band, and performed a xylophone solo on the Whiplash CD with the O-Zone Percussion Group. His work has also been released on commercial labels Klavier and Citadel.
Mr. Alico resides in Lewisburg, PA, with his wife and two children.
