Gregor Gall serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of Leeds within the Faculty of Business, specifically affiliated with the Department of People, Work and Employment and the Centre for Employment Relations, Innovation and Change (CERIC). He concurrently holds a Visiting Professor position at the University of Glasgow.
His research centers on industrial relations, labour studies, and trade union dynamics, with a focus on workers' collective representation through unions. Gall has produced an extensive scholarly output including over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, 10 authored books, and 10 edited volumes. His recent publications examine sex worker unionization, trade union leadership (notably Bob Crow), and post-financial crash employment relations in financial services, reflecting his commitment to analyzing labor movements across diverse sectors and global contexts.
Gall actively bridges academic and public spheres through knowledge exchange initiatives, having organized numerous symposia, public meetings, and seminars. He maintains significant public engagement via contributions to The Guardian, The Conversation, and Huffington Post, while also providing research services directly to trade unions to translate academic insights into practical labor movement strategies.
