Gregg A. Brazinsky is a Professor of History at George Washington University, specializing in Cold War history, U.S.-East Asian relations, and international history. He focuses on the flow of commerce, ideas, and culture across Asia and the Pacific. His research includes Sino-American rivalry in the Third World, U.S.-South Korean Cold War dynamics, and Sino-North Korean relations. He is the author of two seminal books and directs GW's Cold War Group. Brazinsky has held prestigious fellowships including the Kluge Fellowship and Woodrow Wilson Center Fellowship.
Education: Ph.D. in History from Cornell University (2002).
Research Interests: Cold War diplomacy, East Asian international relations, modernization theory, and the cultural and economic ties between Asian nations. He explores how U.S. policies shaped development in East Asia and the ideological exchanges during the Cold War.
