Greg Yerashotis is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Trent University, affiliated with Otonabee College. His research focuses on sport’s role in social inclusion for marginalized groups, particularly immigrant youth and gender equity initiatives. He holds a PhD from the University of Toronto and has collaborated on provincially and SSHRC-funded projects.

Key Projects
Completed a provincially funded participatory action research project on sport and social development, co-authored publications in International Review for the Sociology of Leisure and International Review for the Sociology of Sport, and is preparing a book based on his doctoral research.

Teaching & Community Engagement
Teaches courses including Sociology of Sport, Gender Equity, and Research Methods. Uses community-engaged pedagogy to connect classroom learning with urban social justice issues.
