Greg Williamson is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University's Krieger School of Arts & Sciences. His work focuses on creative writing, poetry, and literary editing. He is the author of multiple acclaimed books, including The Hole Story of Kirby the Sneak and Arlo the True and The Silent Partner, which won the Nicholas Roerich Poetry Prize in 1995. He also co-edited Jiggery-Pokery Semicentennial (2018) with Daniel Groves. His writing has appeared in prestigious venues such as The Yale Review, The Paris Review, and The Norton Anthology of Poetry.
Williamson received a Whiting Writer’s Award in 1998 and has been affiliated with Johns Hopkins since at least the early 2000s. His research interests include narrative techniques, poetic form, and literary collaboration. He currently holds an office in Gilman Hall and is available by appointment.
