Greg Powell

Greg Powell is an Associate Professor and Department Chair for the Department of Management, Marketing and Hospitality at Southern Utah University's School of Business. Initially pursuing a career in business consulting, Powell discovered a passion for teaching while instructing night classes and transitioned to academia permanently. He emphasizes the value of student relationships in his pedagogy, stating that students 'bring their lives to the table' and that his role involves mutual learning experiences. Powell teaches foundational and advanced business courses including BA 2000 Foundations of Business, MGMT 3180 Management and Organizations, MGMT 4100 Organizational Behavior and Leadership, MGMT 4250 Advanced Seminar in HRM, and MGMT 4890 Internship.
