Greg Melton serves as Assistant Professor of Geology within the Department of Earth and Environmental Science at Utah Tech University, teaching foundational courses including Introduction to Environmental Science (ENVS 1010), Introduction to Geology (GEO 1010), and specialized field experiences in national parks such as Geology National Parks Lab (GEO 1055) and Natural History of Zion National Park (GEOG 2000R).
His research focuses on applied geology and environmental systems with emphasis on field-based studies in protected landscapes, particularly national parks.
