Dr. Greg McElwain is a Professor of Philosophy and Religious Studies at The College of Idaho. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Florida, an M.T.S. from Vanderbilt University, and a B.A. from Abilene Christian University. His research focuses on environmental philosophy, philosophy of religion, ethics, and the work of Mary Midgley, particularly her contributions to animal and environmental ethics. His current book project stems from interviews with Midgley (2011-2018), exploring her perspectives on animals and the environment.
