Dr. Greg Gifford is an Assistant Professor of Biblical Counseling at The Master's University, where he also serves as the Chair of the School of Biblical Studies. His academic journey includes a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Baptist Bible College, an M.A. in Biblical Counseling from The Master's University, and a Ph.D. in Biblical Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Greg's research focuses on the intersection of habits and human desires, alongside Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) within a biblical framework. He has authored two books: Heart and Habits and Helping Your Family Through PTSD, emphasizing Scripture's sufficiency in counseling without integrating secular psychology.
His professional experience spans roles as a full-time biblical counselor, associate pastor, and military service as a U.S. Army Captain (2008-2012). Greg also serves as an elder in his local church and counselors for 180 Ministries, blending academic rigor with practical ministry.
