Greg Bowley

Greg Bowley is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law at University of New Brunswick. His research examines foundational questions in tort and contract theory, drawing on historical jurisprudence and contemporary legal philosophy.

Education includes a SJD and LLM from University of Toronto, LLB and MA from University of New Brunswick, and BA from University of King's College.

Scholarship explores tort liability evolution, contractual consent under duress, and intersections between common law traditions. Recent publications analyze malicious bargaining as tortious conduct and the persistence of malice doctrines post-Donoghue.

Professional legal experience includes commercial litigation and expropriation law practice at Toronto firms, plus advisory roles in complex settlements like the Nortel Networks asset allocation and Indian Residential Schools agreement.
