Grazia Antonacci is a Research Fellow in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health at Imperial College London’s Faculty of Medicine. She serves as Deputy Lead for the Innovation and Evaluation Theme at the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Northwest London (NIHR ARC NWL), contributing to research on healthcare innovation adoption, implementation, and sustainability. Her work integrates quality improvement methodologies and explores digital health technologies and frugal innovations in healthcare systems.
Education includes a Master’s in Industrial and Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, a Postgraduate Master’s in Healthcare Management from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Rome), and a European PhD in Enterprise Engineering from Tor Vergata University of Rome and Imperial College London.
Research focuses on healthcare innovation processes, including telemedicine adoption (e.g., Italian NHS studies), quality improvement projects (e.g., SWiFT trauma protocol implementation), and HTA analyses of automated drug dispensing systems. Her work often bridges implementation science and practical healthcare system challenges, addressing topics like vaccination outreach, shared decision-making in neurology, and optimizing intraoperative monitoring.
