Grant Russell is a Professor of Primary Care Research and Director of the Southern Academic Primary Care Research Unit (SAPCRU) within Monash University's Department of General Practice. He previously served as an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa (2009–2020). His research focuses on understanding the impact of primary care reforms on patients, clinicians, and practices. He has secured over $8 million in research funding and authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications. Russell holds awards including the North American Primary Care Research Group President's Award and the Sir Richard Stawell Prize.
