Dr. Grant Gosizk is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Marquette University's Klingler College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a PhD in American Studies from the University of Kent and a BA in English and Creative Writing from Carthage College.
His research explores intersections of science, politics, philosophy and literary arts, focusing on melodrama, addiction studies, and twentieth-century American literature. His current book project examines temperance melodrama's legacy in post-Prohibition American theatre.
Dr. Gosizk teaches courses on literary representations of illness, environmental literature, and American intellectual cultures. Before joining Marquette, he taught at Carthage College, University of Wisconsin-Parkside, and Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.
