Professor Graham Fieggen is the Head of the Department of Surgery at the University of Cape Town (UCT), while also serving as Head of the Clinical Department of Neurosurgery at Groote Schuur Hospital and as a Paediatric Neurosurgeon at Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital. He led the establishment of UCT’s Neuroscience Institute in 2016, the first of its kind in Africa, and is spearheading the creation of Africa’s first biobank for brain and blood samples.
