Grace Lordan

Dr Grace Lordan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science at the London School of Economics (LSE), where she also serves as the Founding Director of The Inclusion Initiative (TII) and Director of the MSc in Behavioural Science. She is an economist by training with a strong focus on behavioural science, labour markets, and inclusion.

Her key research interests include:

• Occupational sorting and gender disparities
• Unconscious bias and discrimination
• The impact of automation and technology on work
• Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) interventions
• Worker wellbeing and mental health
• Leadership and decision-making

Her recent publications reflect a strong trend toward understanding the intersection of technology, inclusion, and human behaviour in the workplace. She frequently publishes in high-impact journals and contributes to public discourse through media outlets like the Financial Times and Harvard Business Review. Her work increasingly focuses on practical, evidence-based solutions for organisations.

Grace Lordan has received recognition through advisory roles with the UK government, including the Skills and Productivity Board and the BEIS Social Mobility Taskforce, and she serves on the Women in Finance Charter’s advisory board. She is also the author of the book Think Big: Take Small Steps and Build the Future You Want (2021, Penguin Books).

She advises and speaks regularly to major financial and technology firms and leads collaborative research projects with colleagues such as Cecily Josten and Teresa Almeida. She does not appear to have formal PhD advisees listed, but she leads a large research team through TII.
