Govind Krishnamoorthy

Dr. Govind Krishnamoorthy is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology and Wellbeing at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Manna Institute. With over 15 years of clinical experience, he works as a clinical psychologist focusing on children and adolescents from marginalized backgrounds.

His educational background includes a PhD from Griffith University completed in 2011. He maintains active professional memberships including the Australian Psychological Society and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.

Dr. Krishnamoorthy's research concentrates on improving mental health and educational outcomes for vulnerable youth. His work spans trauma-informed care implementation, recovery-oriented practices, and mental health interventions in school settings. He has collaborated extensively with health services, schools, and community organizations to develop systems approaches for supporting children exposed to abuse and neglect. His research interests bridge clinical psychology with public health approaches to mental wellbeing.
