Dan Wadsworth is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast's School of Health and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Manna Institute. His research focuses on healthy ageing, accessible physical activity, and wellbeing across the lifespan, with emphasis on rural communities.
Research interests include:
- Promoting physical activity in older adults through multidisciplinary approaches
- Co-creation of health services in rural settings
- Intergenerational social connections and creative practices
- Mental health in regional communities
Wadsworth's publications demonstrate consistent focus on exercise interventions for ageing populations, with recent work examining COVID-19 impacts on physical activity and mental health across multiple countries.
