Gordon Mitchell

Gordon Mitchell is Professor Emeritus of Religion and Intercultural Education at Universität Hamburg and Herder Professor for Intercultural Studies at the German-Jordanian University. His work explores religion's role in public education and arts-based approaches to peacebuilding.

He developed Hamburg's inclusive 'Religious Education for All' model and founded the Art Peace Project facilitating international workshops using creative arts for conflict transformation. Research spans South Africa, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.
