Gordon Glazner

Dr. Gordon Glazner is an Assistant Professor in the Pharmacology & Therapeutics department at the University of Manitoba. He serves as a Principal Investigator in the Division of Neurodegenerative and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, focusing on cellular neuropathology and neurodegeneration.

• Research Interests: Dr. Glazner investigates neuronal stress responses, particularly the role of NF-kappaB in regulating calcium signaling and cell survival. His work explores how dysregulation of these pathways contributes to pathologies like Alzheimer's disease, stroke, and diabetic sensory neuropathy.
• Student Supervision: He has supervised multiple postdoctoral and graduate students, including studies on ER calcium proteolysis, neurodegenerative models, and neuregulin's role in sensory neuron function.
