Gonzalez Carrasco, Monica

Monica Gonzalez-Carrasco is a Professor of Social Psychology in the Department of Psychology at the University of Girona. She is affiliated with the Institute for Research on Quality of Life (IRQV) and co-coordinates the research team on Childhood, Adolescence, Children's Rights, and Their Quality of Life (ERÍDIQV) since 2016.

• Education: PhD in Psychology (University of Girona), Postgraduate in Human Resources Management (Open University of Catalonia), Postgraduate in University Teaching (University of Girona)

Her research focuses on childhood/adolescence at risk, ICT impacts on youth, subjective well-being, children's rights, and quality of life across demographics. She has collaborated on projects addressing school absenteeism and child/youth social participation.

• Extraordinary Doctorate Award in Psychology (2006) - University of Girona
• Honourable Mention to the Best Dissertation Award (2007) - ISQOLS

She has taught undergraduate courses in Psychology, Criminology, Social Education, and Advertising/Public Relations, as well as graduate programs, while contributing to teacher training through the University of Girona's Institute of Educational Sciences.
