Golnoosh Farnadi is an Assistant Professor at McGill University's School of Computer Science, an Adjunct Professor at Université de Montréal, and a Visiting Faculty Researcher at Google Research. She holds the Canada CIFAR AI Chair and is a core academic member of Mila – Quebec AI Institute.
Her research focuses on algorithmic fairness, responsible AI, and optimization. She founded the EQUAL Lab (EQuity & EQuality Using AI and Learning algorithms) to address bias and discrimination in AI systems.
Key publications explore fairness in kidney exchange programs, generative model geometry, multilingual LLM de-biasing, and prototype-based recommender systems. Her work bridges causal inference, adversarial robustness, and ethical AI.
