Goliomytis Michael

Goliomytis Michael is an Associate Professor of Animal Husbandry at the Department of Animal Science, Agricultural University of Athens. He holds a PhD in Animal Production (2000) and has taught graduate/postgraduate courses since 2010. His research focuses on growth models, animal product quality (eggs, poultry, lamb meat), and natural antioxidants in nutrition.

He has participated in 4 EU/Greek-funded research projects and published 26+ peer-reviewed articles. Key areas include oxidative stability in poultry meat, immune response modulation, and sustainable feed alternatives. His work spans experimental trials in broiler chickens, rabbits, and dairy sheep.

He has led roles at OGEEKA-Dimitra (2009-2010) and held prior positions as a hatchery manager (2002-2003) and animal production inspector (2006-2007). His laboratories include the General & Special Animal Crafts Workshop and the Animal Breeding & Husbandry Lab.
