Gloria Whittico, J.D., is an Associate Professor and Director of the Academic Success Program at Regent University School of Law. She teaches Insurance Law, Administrative Law, and Race and the Law, while also serving as faculty advisor for the Black Law Students Association.
- Education: J.D. (University of Virginia School of Law), A.B. cum laude in English Literature and Philosophy (College of William and Mary)
- Prior roles: Faculty member at Hampton University (1998-2007), attorney at IBM's Office of the Senior Vice-President and General Counsel
Her research focuses on 19th-century 'freedom suits' as legal antecedents to Dred Scott, and she has developed programs to increase diversity in the legal profession. Publications include analyses of racial disparities in foster care systems and historical Missouri freedom suits.
Scientific awards include the Hampton University E. L. Hamm, Sr. Distinguished Teaching Award (2004-2005). She also contributes to community engagement through roles at St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church.
