Glenn Jenkins

Glenn Jenkins is an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Queen's University, where he has been affiliated since 2000. He is the Director of the John Deutsch International Program on Investment Appraisal and Risk Analysis. Prior to Queen's, he taught at Harvard University from 1972 to 2000 and remains an Institute Fellow Emeritus there. His research focuses on public finance, investment appraisal, and economic development, with notable contributions to tax policy, cost-benefit analysis, and infrastructure evaluation. Jenkins holds a B.Comm. from Carleton University, M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago, and has advised governments and institutions globally. He has served in key roles, including Assistant Deputy Minister of Tax Policy in Canada and consultant to the World Bank and Asian Development Bank. His work emphasizes practical applications of economic theory to public projects, with a recent focus on renewable energy, trade facilitation, and tax incentive evaluation.
