Glenn Blomquist is Professor Emeritus of Economics and Public Policy at the University of Kentucky, holding the Carl F. Pollard Professorship in Health Economics. His research spans health, environmental, and urban economics, with focus on risk valuation and quality-of-life measurements.
Notable contributions include developing methodologies for valuing health risks and urban amenities through contingent valuation techniques. Research has been funded by NSF, EPA, and MacArthur Foundation.
Professor Blomquist has edited the Journal of Benefit-Cost Analysis and serves in leadership roles for the Southern Economic Association and Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis. Honors include Kentucky Distinguished Economist (2009) and Society Fellow recognition.
