Dr. Glenda Droogsma Musoba is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Administration & Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University's College of Education & Human Development. She joined the university in 2012 and specializes in higher education finance, organizational theory, and research methods. Her research focuses on educational policy, student access, and success in postsecondary education, particularly for underrepresented groups like rural students and transfer students. She has secured over $500,000 in external funding from organizations like the Lumina Foundation. Dr. Musoba has advised 12 doctoral students at Texas A&M and 10 at her previous institution. She has authored 18 peer-reviewed articles and two books, including Using Action Inquiry in Engaged Research (2017). Professional highlights include the 2023 Dr. Yvonna S. Lincoln Distinguished Professor Award and leadership roles such as Program Leader for Higher Education Administration (2018–2024).
Education: Ph.D. in Higher Education from Indiana University.
Research Interests: Her work examines policy barriers and opportunities for marginalized students, including rural college choice, transfer student persistence, and financial strategies for public universities. She employs mixed-methods approaches and collaborates with community stakeholders through engaged research frameworks.
Grants & Projects: PI of the AgriLife Extension Rural Student Success Initiative (2019–2020) and Co-PI for the Catapult Round 1 policy project (2016). Her funding has enabled studies on dual admission programs and financial health of research universities. She also mentors Posse Atlanta scholars and serves on institutional committees.
